Welcome to another edition of Brazilian Wave!
Hello Dear Reader,
Welcome to the summer edition of Brazilian Wave. And since what matters now is making the most of the short-lived heat, Sirley Santos has produced a top 10 list of beaches located around Toronto.
Directly from Brazil, Rogério Silva has provided us with his analysis of the complicated Brazilian political situation. Christian Pedersen spoke with Australian director Dan Jackson on his recent work “In the Shadow of the Hill” which depicts life in Rocinha, Brazil’s largest slum, and touches on an open wound in the community: the disappearance of construction worker Amarildo de Souza. The desperation of a Brazilian couple during their first experience with a smoke detector is the subject of “Let Me Tell You” and as of this edition, we provide professional tips in the “Working in Canada” column. In this issue, Juliana de Souza tells how a well-written resume is essential in the job search.
Happy reading and until the next issue,
