Surprise bread

Surprise Bread is a cold pie that combines sweet and savory tastes.

It is an easy, practical and tasty recipe!

  • 4 or 5 eggs
  • 1 can of tuna (solid, in oil)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Thin potato sticks (like hickory sticks)
  • 1 package of sliced bread cut horizontally
  • Strawberry jam

Boil the eggs then dice them, put them in a bowl and mix it with a lot of mayonnaise. In another bowl, mix the tuna and mayonnaise together.

Build the pie in layers, in the following way:

First layer:

Spread the tuna and mayonnaise mixture (save a little bit of it and add the thin potato sticks (hickory sticks);

Second layer:

Spread the tuna, mayonnaise and potato stick mixture;

Third layer:

Spread the egg and mayonnaise mixture;

Fourth layer:

Egg, mayonnaise and potato sticks;

Fifth layer:

A thick layer of strawberry jam.

The jam gives this pie a special touch, the contrast between the sweet and savory taste is fantastic!

To finish it off add one more slice of bread on top the strawberry jam, spread some mayonnaise on it and top it with the potato sticks, which will stick to the mayonnaise. If you wish, you may also do this on the sides.

Cut it into slices and serve individually.
