With an exciting editorial line-up focused on (How is it in Canada?) the series of 30+ episodes aim to appeal to a variety of individuals, from Brazilians already established in Canada to students in Brazil seeking an ESL destination.

Exciting times lie ahead for Brazilian Wave in 2018 with the podcast series “Como é no Canadá!”

That’s the message Teresa Botelho and Regina Filippov, co-founders of BW, want to bring to its readers and all Brazilians living or with an interest in Canada. “We plan to boldly venture into podcast production and publishing in 2018, a new channel initiative previously untapped by our team”, says Teresa.

The vision is a pilot project comprised of a series of 30 podcasts to be delivered on a 3x-per-week schedule over a period of four months, starting in 2018. With an exciting editorial line-up focused on Como é no Canada! (How is it in Canada?), the content aims to appeal to a variety of individuals, from Brazilians already established in Canada to students in Brazil seeking an ESL destination.

With the average attention span falling just short of a goldfish, and most information digested through 40-character tweets, consumers seek fast, direct access to information they can use – both in real time and on their own time. Forbes magazine highlights that “podcast marketing is one of the most underutilized and unknown forms of marketing, yet ironically, podcasts are what customers have been gravitating towards and asking for over the past few years.”

The power of the podcast as a digital innovation rests in its ability to cater to a decidedly mobile population with customized content. Increasingly fragmented audiences are looking for flexibility and choice. Today’s consumer wants to be in control of how they spend their valuable time, be it related to career, education or entertainment.
The Brazilian Wave team has been researching and exploring this technology as a potential new business approach. Introducing podcasts into its repertoire represents a natural segue for Brazilian Wave, the well-respected curator of All Things Brazilian.
Happy Holidays and… stay tunned in 2018!
